A Swastome Initiative

The BioAnalytics Skill Development Program (BioAnalyticsSDF) is a nonprofit initiative launched in 2020 by Sanjyot Shenoy and Deeptarup Biswas, with support from Aryan Gupta, in collaboration with BioX Club and the ACS Student Chapter at IIT Bombay.

Focused on advancing digital education in bioanalytics, the program builds a vibrant, student-centered community that connects aspiring learners with leading scientists and experts. Through hands-on exposure to cutting-edge research and emerging technologies, BioAnalyticsSDF empowers students to explore the future of science and innovation.

The Journey so far

From Vision to Reality

Since its inception, BioAnalyticsSDF has grown into a thriving student community of over 5,000 members, thanks to the strong support of students, mentors, and experts. This collaborative spirit has shaped an inclusive, empowering environment where learners from diverse backgrounds can explore the frontiers of bioanalytics.

By leveraging digital platforms and virtual workshops, the program breaks down geographical barriers and democratizes access to cutting-edge topics like machine learning, drug discovery, big data, biomarker identification, and digital health.

Grounded in a vision of sustainable, student-driven education, BioAnalyticsSDF equips participants with practical skills, connects them with mentors, and enables involvement in real-world research. More than a learning initiative, it is a launchpad for the next generation of scientists and innovators.

BioAnalytics Skill Development Forum Fuels Student-Led Innovation

The BioAnalytics Skill Development Forum has been a driving force behind the “A Journey by the Students and for the Students” initiative — a peer-led program empowering learners through mentorship and collaboration.

With over 50 dedicated student mentors guiding more than 2,500 peers nationwide, the initiative has fostered a vibrant, student-driven ecosystem. Through interactive sessions and hands-on projects, mentors offer personalized support to help students master complex topics in bioanalytics.

Supported by nonprofit clubs and startup partners, this collective effort amplifies learning, builds community, and reinforces the initiative's core vision: empowering students to lead, learn, and grow—together.

Extending our Support

BioAnalyticsSDF supports innovative start-ups and student-led organizations

The BioAnalytics Skill Development Forum (BioAnalyticsSDF) actively supports startups by providing a vibrant platform for visibility, community engagement, and expert guidance.

By fostering connections with society and helping ventures assess market fit, BASDF empowers innovation in bioanalytics. The forum has featured over 35 startup interviews focused on cutting-edge research and entrepreneurship in India, offering founders valuable exposure and insights.

This initiative not only nurtures the entrepreneurial spirit but also bridges the gap between emerging ventures and the broader ecosystem—driving growth through collaboration, mentorship, and societal impact.
